About our house
A vacation home to rent in Kingsport,
Nova Scotia, overlooking the famous Minas Basin which is known for
the world's highest tides. The village is small, quiet, and a 15
minute drive to the historic town of Wolfville, home of Acadia University.
The house is a minute's walk from Kingsport Beach. You can see the
beach from the "Captain's
window" in
the upstairs hall, and from three of the bedrooms.
The tranquility of the house and the unique estuarine surroundings
make it a wonderful retreat spot for artists, writers, yoga & meditation
practitioners, ornithologists, scientists and nature enthusiasts.
The 1854 Cape Cod house was once the home of
the builder and captain of the last wooden sailing vessel to work
the Minas Basin. There are still remnants of his work in the house
today.
We kindly ask that there be no smoking in the house.
